Current Status of Robotic Bariatric Surgery

Abstract: While conventional laparoscopy is the gold standard for bariatric procedures, robot platforms can provide better ergonomics for the surgeon, better visualization of the anatomy, easier dissection through articulated devices, which cannot be supported by laparoscopy.
