Urochloa decumbens (Stapf) R. D. Webster (Poaceae) is an exotic species with has spread rapidly through the Cerrado area of Pantanal, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. It has covered the soil aggressively turning it into cultivated pastures. Thus, it has become a challenge to protect native areas due its capacity of exclusion of native species. It has been observed that Microlobius foetidus (Jacq.) M.Sousa & G.Andrade species (Fabaceae) shows a dominant pattern over the development of U. decumbens. This work shows that M. foetidus interfere on the natural growth of U. decumbens within 10 m ratio. Between 15 and 20 m, it was observed an increase of Importance Value index (IVI) and Relative cover (RC) values. It was also observed a variation on the antioxidant defense system of U. decumbens within 10m ratio from M. foetidus. The enzymes superoxide dismutase, catalase and peroxidase present higher levels of activity then those found for glutathione reductase. This data indicates that M. foetidus may have an effect on U. decumbens, increase the activity of antioxidant enzymes. This effect probably happens as means to neutralize the toxic effects of the oxygen generated due to the presence of allelochemicals, which increases oxidative stress.Keywords: antioxidant enzymes, signal grass, garlic stick, competition. A associação de agroquímicos atende a muitos objetivos, como o controle simultâneo de organismos, reduções de doses, aumento da eficácia e prevenção de casos de resistência a pesticidas. O presente trabalho objetiva sintetizar informações sobre a associação de glyphosate com nutrientes, herbicidas e outros pesticidas. A associação de glyphosate com cátions polivalentes (ex: Ca e Mn) em geral reduz a eficiência do herbicida, que pode ser superada com a adição de sulfato de amônio à calda de aplicação. A associação de glyphosate com outros herbicidas é dependente das doses utilizadas, das espécies vegetais, da época de avaliação, do estádio de desenvolvimento da planta e da compatibilidade bioquímica entre os mecanismos de ação dos herbicidas. A associação de glyphosate com herbicidas sistêmicos em geral apresenta maior compatibilidade e benefícios, em contraste à sua mistura com herbicidas de contato. A associação de glyphosate com mimetizadores de auxina em geral resulta em efeito sinérgico. A mistura de glyphosate com inibidores da ALS pode gerar efeitos sinérgicos, aditivos ou antagônicos, apresentando maior dependência da dose de glyphosate na mistura. Existem muitos exemplos de antagonismo entre glyphosate e herbicidas de contato, como os inibidores da GS, FSII, FSI e PROTOX. São escassas as publicações de glyphosate associado com fungicidas ou inseticidas e as mesmas não evidenciam efeitos sinérgicos ou antagônicos dessa mistura. No entanto, trabalhos que documentam a metabolização de glyphosate por plantas sugerem a necessidade de investigação do impacto de inseticidas e fungicidas na ação do herbicida.

Weed interference reduces the productive potential of crops. Among the control methods used, chemical ones occupy a major position. The repeated application of the same mechanism of action selects tolerant plants. Among the species that affect sugarcane, crabgrass is one of them. This study has aimed to know the tolerance of different populations of this species to herbicides inhibiting photosystem II. Three populations were collected, identified and submitted to the application of ametryn and diuron herbicides in ten different doses, and the experiment was conducted in a experimental design of complete randomized blocks with four repetitions in a factorial arrangement of 10 x 3 (10 doses x 3 populations), being one trial for each herbicide. Sixty days after application, visual control and plants shoot dry biomass were evaluated. The data were submitted to an analysis of variance by the F test and, when significant, their means were compared using the Tukey’s test. The averages related to the herbicide doses were submitted to a graphical analysis by applying a log-logistic regression where the herbicide doses required to cause 50 or 80% of injury and reduction of dry biomass of plants were calculated. The resistance factor was calculated to determine the difference in herbicide tolerance among populations. Based on the results, it was observed that the populations exhibit differential sensitivities to herbicides and the one originated in Brazilian city Ribeirão Preto was resistant to ametryn. The population originated in Brazilian city Santa Cruz das Posses was less sensitive to diuron. The RF values ranged between 1.0 and 2.34.
