Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the critical elements of the biomass ex situ catalytic hydropyrolysis (CHP) concept to improve the quality of fast pyrolysis bio-oil (FPBO) for further coprocessing in a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) refining unit.
