Cyanoacetic Esters, Amino Acids, and Pyrazolones

Abstract: Ethyl a-substit~~ted cyanoacetates were used to prepare hydrazides, azides, urethanes, and dl-a-amino-P-phe~~ylbut~ricacid, dl-a-amino-6-o-bromophenos)-valeric acid, and dl-a-amino-6-o,p-dichlorophenoxyvaleric acid.
