Abstract:Mushrooms are the fruiting bodies of fungi and are important reproductive structures that produce and disseminate spores. The Pri3 gene was originally reported to be specifically expressed in the primordia (a precursor to the mature fruiting body) of the edible mushroom Cyclocybe aegerita.
