CYP2E1 changes the biological function of gastric cancer cells via the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway

Abstract: The present study investigated the role of cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily e polypeptide 1 (cYP2e1) in the development and progression of gastric cancer (Gc). The expression levels of cYP2e1 in MGc-803 Gc cells and normal GeS-1 cells were investigated via western blotting, and it was identified that the expression of CYP2E1 was different between GeS-1 and MGc-803 cells. cYP2e1 was overexpressed in MGc-803 cells using a lentiviral vector GV358. cell counting Kit-8, flow cytometry, cell migration and Matrigel… Show more

“…In recent years, the activation of MTOR signaling pathway is related to the occurrence of various malignant tumors. It has become a new idea for cancer treatment to block the activation of downstream signaling molecules by using signaling pathway blockers to inhibit cancer cells growth [ 19 21 ]. In this study, curcumin was used to explore the effect and the possible molecular mechanism on proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis of 786-O cell by blocking MTOR signaling pathway, thus providing theoretical basis for clinical drug treatment of renal cancer.…”

“…The module itself has the best match with the MAPK signaling pathway . Further support of the DriveWays’ choice of FLNA as a candidate driver is found in various recent studies demonstrating its role in tumor progression in a wide range of cancer types 51 53 . Repeating the same analysis under the breast cancer setting we find that PIK3R1, CDK4, CDK6, and SF3B1 satisfy the criteria for driver candidacy, that is each one appears among the top twenty DriveWays modules, does not exist in the reference gene set CMbreast , but does exist in the KEGG pathway corresponding to the best match of its module.…”
