Cytomegalovirus Latency Exacerbated Small-for-size Liver Graft Injury Through Activation of CCL19/CCR7 in Hepatic Stellate Cells

Abstract: RCMV was injected peritoneally to build CMV infection in immunocompetent SD rats. To examine the presence of CMV in the rats, mRNA levels of CMV IE1/2 in the internal organs were examined at different time points (wk 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8). For the salivary glands, CMV IE1/2 expression was detectable at week 1, 3, 4, and 8 after inoculation with the highest level observed at week 3 and then declined to a relatively low level at week 8.
