Cytotoxic Angucycline Class Glycosides from the Deep Sea Actinomycete Streptomyces lusitanus SCSIO LR32

Abstract: Five new C-glycoside angucyclines, named grincamycins B−F (1−5), and a known angucycline antibiotic, grincamycin (6), were isolated from Streptomyces lusitanus SCSIO LR32, an actinomycete of deep sea origin. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including MS and 1D and 2D NMR experiments.
