CZTS Se1− nanocrystals: Composition dependent method of preparation, morphological characterization and cyclic voltammetry data analysis

Abstract: In this article, synthesis procedures of preparation of copper zinc tin sulpho-selenide (CZTSxSe1−x) alloy nanocrystals and the data acquired for the material characterization are presented. This data article is related to the research article doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.solmat.2016.06.030 (Jadhav et al., 2016) [1]. FTIR data have been presented which helped in confirmation of adsorption of oleylamine on CZTSxSe1−x. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM… Show more

“…X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was carried out on the samples using a Kratos Axis Ultra DLD photoelectron spectrometer utilizing monochromatic Al Kα radiation operating at an energy of 120 W (10 × 12 kV). The electrochemical measurements, Mott–Schottky plot (M–S plot), photoelectrochemical impedance spectroscopy (Nyquist and Bode phase plot), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) were carried out using an electrochemical workstation (Metrohm Potentiostat/Galvanostat, Autolab PGSTAT 302N) as per our earlier report. The CTS-based PEC cell was constructed with an FTO/CTS/Na 2 SO 4 /Pt device architecture, and the J – V characteristics were measured under dark and illuminated conditions. The standard three-electrode system is used, composed of a saturated calomel electrode (SCE), platinum plate, and photoelectrode, which were used as a reference electrode, counter electrode, and working electrode, respectively.…”

“…The electrochemical measurements, such as CV, were carried out using an electrochemical workstation (Metrohm Potentiostat/Galvanostat, Auto lab PGSTAT 302N) as per our earlier report. ,,, In CV measurements, a homemade 5-necked electrochemical cell was used with an outer hot water circulation (for in situ drying of the supporting electrolyte) jacket with the provision for degassing, maintaining an inert atmosphere, and solvent injection through the silicon septum. The three necks were used for glassy carbon (GC) as a working electrode, Pt wire loop as a counter electrode (CE), and silver (Ag) wire as a quasi-reference electrode (RE), respectively.…”
