Darvon Poisoning with Delayed Salicylism: A Case Report

Abstract: A case of combined Darvon and aspirin poisoning is presented. A phenomenon of delayed salicylism (as opposed to acute or chronic) as a result of an enteric coated preparation is described. The case illustrates the need for knowledge of not only the time of the ingestion and dose ingested, but also the type of preparation involved, before good judgements can be made.
