Das Antiphospholipidsyndrom Pathogenese, molekulare Grundlagen und klinische Aspekte

Abstract: Therapeutic approaches to the antiphospholipid syndrome today are mainly restricted to the prevention of further thrombosis by permanent anticoagulation. Although 30-50% of all patients, according to the literature, with moderately to highly elevated antiphospholipid antibody titers develop the clinical symptoms of the syndrome, there are only few studies investigating the benefits of a prophylactic anticoagulation of the affected patients. There is an urgent need for prospective clinical studies to clarify th… Show more

“…The β 2 GP-I is immobilized onto the membrane via charge associated interaction. As the physiological range of β 2 GP-I lies between 150 and 300 mg/L [4,22], a concentration of 200 mg/L was used to deposit the protein onto the membrane. The final step is to detect the β 2 GP-I antibody.…”

“…It has a high affinity to negatively charged components of the cell membrane like phosphatidylserine and cardiolipin [4]. After its immobilization to membranes containing one of these phospholipids, the β 2 GP-I changes its conformation from circular conformation to a fishhook-like-shaped conformation.…”
