“…In this study, content-related validity of the German CANE was assessed incorporating these different angles. As a result of the staged content-related assessment procedure in this study, the CANE was extended by several aspects, for example, "drinking status," "dental health," "disability," "delirium," and "pain" as these aspects represent common issues in the elderly population that should be systematically recorded and considered when assessing needs (Lüttje et al, 2011;Vermeulen et al, 2011;Rabbo et al, 2012;Inouye et al, 2014).
