Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to report a new data-driven analysis methodology for identifying nonlinear modal interactions and its application to aeroelastic wind-tunnel data from a generic fighter configuration, which reveals global modal interactions in this system caused by multiple resonance capture events initiated by local nonlinearities.
