Data on Particles and Resonant States

Abstract

Data and references on properties of particles and resonances are compiled, tested for consistency, and summarized in tables and wallet cards. This is an updating of the Reviewers of Moderrs Physics article of October 1964, and some new quantities have been included in the tables.This data survey is an updating of that of one year ago. ' To save space we discuss only the changes since then, and omit the descriptions of the tables and compiling procedures. However, we do want to re-emphasize the warning carried by the entries ")& Scale =~~. "As an example, consider the A2 meson, whose mass is listed as 1324~9)( Scale =2.5 MeV. This means that 4 R. T. Higher meson resonances in the SU(6) symmetry

Blind Analysis in Nuclear and Particle Physics

Decays of the positive parity mesons inSU(6) w

“…We have concluded that 405 sectas to be a more suitable choice, in so far as it allows a great many of the observed resonances to be identified. The existente of most of the reported positive parity resonant states [5] is, however, rather questionable [6], the 2 + being the only well established multiplet; therefore, the elassification based on mass formulae alone is not convincing enough. The additional information which is needed can be provided by the investigation of decay widths and branching ratios.…”
