The global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic clearly altered the trajectory of the electronic governance adoption, also known as e-governance. In response to this challenge, governments, organisations, and individuals swiftly adopted various strategic digital coping and adaptation mechanisms. This chapter examines the global efforts of some countries to adopt e-governance, their level of preparedness, and the challenges they face. The areas of health, education, and finances are important because of their significant direct and indirect impact on individual well-being. Regardless of the existence of a pandemic, governments worldwide must consistently evaluate their readiness for pandemics by formulating favourable policies that can achieve reliable and inclusive implementation of future digital solutions.
