Abstract: Taverniera cuneifolia has been described as a potent substitute of Licorice in India. It has been used as an expectorant anti-inflammatory anti-ulcer wound healing blood purifier etc. Glycyrrhizin is one of the most useful bioactive sesquiterpenoid present in this plant.
