In-beam gamma ray spectroscopy studies have been performed to deduce the level structure of Ru and ' 'Ru below 3 MeV in excitation energy produced via the u, n reaction. Excitation functions between 10.0 and 18.0 MeV bombarding energy, together with y-y coincidence and angular distribution measurements, were carried out to determine the level energies and spins. The results are compared to previous work and to the available theoretical calculations. NUCLEAR REACTIONS '9 Mo(a, n) ' 'Ru E =10 -18 MeV; measured E~, y-y coincidences, y-ray angular distributions; ' 'Ru deduced levels, J; enriched targets, Cxe(Li) detectors.
