“…They have ability of self-expression; they are not under the influence of others. The individuals with low self-esteem have low self-belief and self-confidence, they aim for successes under their capacity, they always evaluate themselves negatively, they are anxious, pessimistic, they are pessimistic about the future, in case they experience failure they can accuse themselves of being worthless and incompetent (Coleman and Hendry, 1990;Hamarta and others, 2009;Loquat, 2005;Kass, 1998;Yorukoglu, 1998;Brown and Mann, 1991;Hogg and Vaughan, 2006).…”

Of these, the primary predictors seem to be age and gender (Brown & Mann, 1990;Brown & Mann, 1991;Flanagan, 1990;Urberg & Rosen, 1987), family income (Brown & Mann, 1990;Flanagan, 1990), and cognitive ability (Sachs, 1985;Mann, Harmoni, & Power, 1989;Ormond, Luszcz, Mann, & Beswick, 1991).…”

“…The child's social emotional adjustment and social skills are also closely related to academic self-respect. In research, it is seen that children having high self-respect are socially compatible, independent, creative, self-confident, successful and healthy, able to express their ideas easily (Brown & Mann, 1991;Warash & Markstrom, 2001) children having low academic self-respect have higher levels of asocial behaviors such as dominance of the idea that their ideas will not be accepted, disliking to be in social environments and avoiding the tasks assigned to them (Kaytez & Kadan, 2016).…”
