Dedication

Abstract

It is truly difficult to write a tribute to a colleague who has passed away in the prime of his creative accomplishments. Peter Kollman served on the Editorial board of Biopolymers during our most formative period. His ability to author and attract papers of the highest quality helped establish Biopolymers as a sig-nificant international journal. We will miss him as a colleague, scientist and friend.
