Deep-UV-Induced Autofluorescence Spectroscopy to investigate the differential response of proteins to nonenzymatic glycation in vitro

Abstract: Deep-UV light (280-295 nm) induced autofluorescence (AF) can be used to monitor the biochemical and structural changes in nonenzymatically glycated proteins. The current study describes the varying AF spectral signatures in Hemoglobin (Hb) and Human Serum Albumin (HSA) upon nonenzymatic glycation (NEG).
