Deformation Response and Safety Evaluation of Buildings Affected by Subway‐Station Construction

Abstract: Based on the sand and pebble stratum in the Beijing area, this paper studies the interaction between deep-foundation-pit excavation for subway stations and surrounding buildings using an orthogonal test. Moreover, it considers the relative position relationship between buildings and how the foundation pit is set up as well as different design schemes for foundation pits and the surrounding buildings. Results show that the horizontal distance s between the building and foundation pit and stiffness of the buildi… Show more

“…All structural elements of the above buildings are considered to be ideal elastic bodies [8]. Due to the elongated shape of the excavation pit, deformations along the long side of the pit are relatively complex [25,36]. Based on the actual engineering characteristics introduced in Section 2, the research in this paper considers the impact of different distances, angles, and floors between buildings and the excavation pit on the interaction between the building and the pit excavation.…”

“…The interactions between the upper structure of the building, the pile foundation, and the surrounding soil layers are comparatively complex, and this mechanism is much more intricate than that of shallow foundations. Currently, research on this topic has not been conducted in-depth [23][24][25]. Ding et al [24] investigated the influence of factors such as the number of building floors, types of building foundations, and the relative position between tunnels and buildings on the three-dimensional structural characteristics of neighboring buildings during tunnel excavation.…”

“…Kim [39] carried out full-scale model tests on lowpressure grouting anchors in weathered soil, such as pullout resistance and stress relaxation, and obtained research results on the transmission mechanism of the anchor's axial force. Ding et al [40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47] used FLAC3D software to establish the numerical model of pile-anchor supporting structure of foundation pit and analyzed the influence of foundation pit excavation on adjacent buildings. Zhang et al [48] used FLAC3D software to analyze the pileanchor support of the deep foundation pit and obtained the stress deformation characteristics of the support structure and the deformation form of the surrounding soil.…”
