Defying expectations: follicular carcinoma thyroid with lung metastasis and elevated CA 125: images

Abstract: Background: Follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC) is a type of thyroid cancer that arises from the follicular cells of the thyroid gland. It accounts for about 10%-15% of all thyroid cancers. CA 125 is a protein that is often used as a tumor marker for ovarian cancer, but it can also be elevated in other types of cancers, including thyroid cancer.
