Degradation of Misfolded Secretory and Membrane Proteins and Associated Diseases

Abstract: Proper folding and targeting of proteins are pivotal for the functioning of cells. Misfolded secretory and membrane proteins are selected for degradation by the proteasome, a multisubunit cytosolic protease.
