Abstract:Salacia oblonga (S. oblonga) is a component of several antidiabetic medications in alternative and folklore medicine. An evaluation of the hydroalcoholic root extract of S.oblonga (SOE) on the hepatocellular and pancreatic environment in the diabetic (Streptozotocin) rodent model was designed.
