Abstract: DUX4 has been widely reported in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, but its role in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is unclear. Dux is the mouse paralog of DUX4. In Dux−/− mdx mice, forelimb grip strength test and treadmill test were performed, and extensor digitorum longus (EDL) contraction properties were measured to assess skeletal muscle function.
