Abstract:ABSTRACT. This paper describes a method to invert marine CSEM data from anisotropic layered media. The method uses two types of constraints to generate stable solutions that improve the positioning of interfaces in anisotropic layers: applying the L 1 norm equality constraints of the Total Variation method to parameters in adjacent layers, and imposing L 2 norm equality constraints between the different components of the conductivity tensor in each layer. The solutions are compared favorably with those from pr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
