Demographic changes in coronary artery bypass surgery and its effect on mortality and morbidity

Abstract: Over the past 4-5 years, possibly with the advent of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), there has been a changing patient population for coronary artery bypass surgery (CABS) with a gradual increase in the operative mortality.
