Abstract:IntroductionInterhospital transfer (IHT) contributes to increasing health care costs and typically accounts for increased patient morbidity and mortality compared to non-IHT patients. IHT inefficiencies leave patients vulnerable to delayed care and subsequent poor outcomes.
