“…This can be associated with the fact that the films were evaporated onto a cold substrate. It is known [6] that, in this case, the films have a loose structure and involve microvoids. It is this circumstance that leads to an increase in the concentration of charge carriers (i.e., ions escaped from the vacancies).…”

“…The films thus prepared are characterized by a strong adhesion to the surface of the glass substrate. Our previous investigations [6,7] demonstrated that this technique provides a means for preparing chalcogenide films with a complex chemical composition that coincides with the composition of the target. By switching the laser beam from one target to the other target with the simultaneous use of a laser pulse counting mode for the purpose of monitoring the thickness of the layers deposited onto the glass substrates, it is possible to fabricate virtually any multilayer configuration.…”

“…However, a number of properties (for example, the band gap and the refractive index of deposited films) depend on the deposition conditions. At an absorptivity of 5 × 10 4 , the fundamental absorption edge of the film deposited on a cold substrate (without additional heating) is shifted to the high-energy range with respect to the fundamental absorption edge of the initial glass, whereas the deposition of the film on a heated substrate leads to an inverse effect, i.e., to a shift in the fundamental absorption edge to the low-energy range [6]. The position of the fundamental absorption edge is also governed by the deposition rate.…”

“…The films thus prepared have a high adhesion to the surface of the glass substrate. According to [9,10], this method makes it possible to prepare films with a complex chemical composition coinciding with the target composition. The switching of the laser beam from one target to another target with simultaneous counting of laser pulses in order to control the thickness of evaporated layers allowed us to produce virtually any multilayer configurations.…”
