Bud-Bursting in Diverse Populations of Mesquite (Prosopis: Leguminosae) under Uniform Conditions

Holzer (1963) recently reviewed racial variation and reported that genetical determination of date of sprouting in Picea abies in Europe is particularly distinct in seedlings from various altitudes, being later in the nursery among those of higher altitude (Schmidt, 1962).
