Derivation of Absolute Depth‐Intensity Spectrum under Standard Rock from the Recently Estimated Primary Cosmic Ray Spectrum

Abstract

A b s t r a c t . Using the recently derived primary cosmic ray nucleon spectrum from JACEE and GSFC balloon flight data and Fermilab results for pp 3 n i + x anything inclusive reaction data in the light of Feynman scaling the depth-intensity spectrum under standard rock has been estimated. A precisely constructed range-energy relation has been applied in this analysis. Eine exakte Reichweiten-Energie-Beziehung wurde hierbei verwendet. Nach Korrekturen fur Reichweiten-Fluktuationen stimmt das so abgeleitete Spektrurn annahernd uberein mit den experimentcllen Diiten unter Standard-Felsgestein roil MIYAZAKI, BARTOR, COSTAGNOLI 11. a., RIEYER (I. a., BERGAI\IASCO u .
