“…The differential diagnoses of angiofibromas include multiple trichoepitheliomas, fibrofolliculomas, trichofolliculomas, trichilemmomas, syringoma, dermal melanocytic nevi, and acne vulgaris. On dermoscopy: trichoepithelioma shows multiple arborizing vessels and milia-like cysts over a whitish background;[ 4 ] fibrofolliculoma reveals well-demarcated areas of pallor with central follicular openings;[ 5 ] syringoma presents pigment network, structureless light-brown areas, and reticular vessels. [ 6 ] Clinical suspicion confirmed with dermoscopic findings can aid early detection and avoid an unnecessary biopsy.…”
