Abstract: A areia industrial é utilizada como matéria-prima nas indústrias de vidro, fundição, química, cerâmica, tintas, plásticos, entre outras. As reservas brasileiras mais expressivas estão localizadas nos estados de São Paulo e Minas Gerais.
