The hospital environment during the current Covid-19 pandemic prevents and controls the spread of disease, and it is highly emphasized to comply with the health protocols from the government to be implemented by all health workers and staf working in hospitals. The study aims to describe the policy determination of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical record officers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research used descriptive qualitative with phenomenological approach. Data collection by observation and in-depth interview. The research instrument were list of interviews and observation sheets. Interviews were conducted with medical record officers (PMIK), Medical Records Head, and Infection Prevention and Control Committee (PPI) RSUD Dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus. Data analysis with content analysis. The results of the study were the medical record service procedure according to the procedure flow set by the PPI and K3RS, the use of PPE for PMIK employees during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the policy of monitoring the safety and security evaluation of PMIK employees had been carried out properly, but there were still health workers who had not to use PPE properly.
