Desalination of brackish water and concentration of industrial effluents by electrodialysis

Abstract: Electrodialysis (ED) is, at present, used mainly for the desalination of brackish drinking-water. Brackish water with a high scaling potential can be successfully treated, using the electrodialysis reversal (EDR) process without the addition of chemicals.
