Abstract:A new species of tiphiid wasp, namely, Tiphia (Tiphia) andhraensis Hanima & Girish Kumar sp. nov. is described from Andhra Pradesh in the southern coastal region of India based on the female holotype. The new species is described, illustrated and compared with congeneric species. The diagnostic character of the new species is the presence of a strong, median longitudinal carina on posterior side of propodeum.
