Desenvolvimento de um Hardware in the Loop (HiL) de um sistema de frenagem com ABS hidráulico.

Abstract

The competitiveness imposed by the global market has forced car manufacturers to seek new alternatives so as to develop their products and systems quickly, with reduced cost, high quality and safety. To meet this demand, companies need to train professionals in solid knowledge of methods and development processes. The lack of such professionals in countries such as Brazil can increase the local technological knowledge gap, reducing skilled labor supply competitiveness, and it consequently reducing their participation in development activities coordinated by the global headquarters. One of the alternatives to prevent countries such as Brazil from being considered only consumer markets can be through the local labor force qualification, encourage research and specialization in methods and processes for the development of new systems. In this context, simulations X-in-the-Loop have become alternative tools to attract development activities to the local market. Among these simulations, the Hardware in the Loop (HiL) can be highlighted because it can be applied to most phases of the system development and testing without using a physical vehicle. In addition, HiL can be used as a teaching tool in academic environments to better prepare the upcoming professionals. The goal of this thesis is to develop a Hardware in the Loop (HiL) for a Hydraulic Braking System with ABS. This proposal can, through HiL, help interested parties understand one of the system development processes by studying the ABS braking system operating on a workbench and by learning the concepts and applications of this tool. The used method is the development of a platform that simulates a specific operating vehicle condition through real and virtual components integration. The braking simulations are performed using a vehicle dynamics software and the analysis uses a comparison method between the virtual and real results, and thus validates the HiL. It is expected that by the end of this thesis, it will provide relevant data to build new HiL platforms and to develop new automotive systems.
