Desenvolvimento de um modelo semiempírico bidimensional para representar o fenômeno tridimensional de escoamento laminar e transferência de calor em um tubo helicoidal.
Nilo Henrique Meira Fortes
Abstract:The high mixing rate in laminar flow in helical pipes is an important characteristic in heating or cooling processes of fluids. In this work, a two-dimensional (2D) semiempirical model based on a straight tube was proposed to represent laminar flow and heat transfer in a helical tube and a three-dimensional (3D) model was developed to study the phenomenon of secondary flow and heat exchange enhancement. To adjust the 2D model, isothermal residence time distribution (RTD) experiments were carried out in a helic… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
