Desenvolvimento vegetativo do feijão de corda sob diferentes doses de adubação nitrogenada

Abstract

The cowpea stands out on the national scene, mainly composing cultivation of family farming. The objective of this work was to evaluate the initial growth of cowpea cv. Creole under different doses of nitrogen fertilization. The experiment was carried out in a vase under field conditions at the Federal University of Rondônia Foundation -UNIR, Campus Rolim de Moura. The experimental design used was randomized blocks, with five doses of nitrogen (N): N0 = 0; N1 = 60; N2 = 120; N3 = 180; N4 = 240 kg ha -1 . Plant height, leaf area, fresh and dry mass of shoots, root dryness and total dryness were evaluated. The N doses tested significantly influenced plant height and leaf area at 30 and 45 days after emergence (DAE), except for plant height at 45 DAE. The dose of 240 kg ha -1 provided greater height and leaf area at 30 and 45 DAE. The fresh and dry mass of shoots, root dryness and total dryness increased as the N dose concentration was increased, with the best dose being 240 kg ha -1 of N, at 45 DAE.
