Design and implementation of a smart antenna system for UHF vehicle-mounted communication

Abstract: In this paper, the design and implementation of a smart antenna system for ultra high frequency (UHF) vehicle-mounted communication is proposed. The project adopts the improved multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm which realized in field programmable gate array (FPGA), and implements robust superdirective beamforming algorithm based on digital signal processor (DSP). They contribute to achieving super-resolution target direction-finding and gaining output beam signals. This solution has greatly imp… Show more

“…For large and medium-sized radars, it is necessary to have fast folding ability and lightweight structure, which requires a brand-new design of radar structure, and some research has been done in this field before. Ji, HZ [2] and Zhao, CS [3] used finite element simulation to analyze and optimize the force of the platform skeleton; Tian, YP [4] and Zhao, DZ [5] put forward a new hydraulically driven folding structure for radar antenna array; Miao, L [6] , Brattstrom, SO [7] and Yang, TG [8] put forward the modular structure design to realize the lightweight radar.…”
