Design and Realization of Mathematical Experiment Examination System Based on Java and Matlabcontrol

Abstract

In this work, a novel remote examination system using up to date software technology is designed to make the test work convenient and efficient with the help of Web-based tests and grades. Students experiment with MATLAB software in mathematical experiment course. According to the characteristic of mathematical experiment, an on-line testing system based on Java and MATLAB is designed. While online examinations or grades are being performed, data obtained by the examination system are simultaneously transferred to the MATLAB application. Then, the system generates both graphical and numerical results about the current experiment and all results are sent to a user-friendly web interface to give users feedback. It's combination of MATLAB and Java Web technology. The key technology and procedure of calling MATLAB from Java via matlabcontrol are summarized. A new way of developing related software is offered.
