Design and Simulation Test of an Open D-Dot Voltage Sensor

Abstract: Nowadays, sensor development focuses on miniaturization and non-contact measurement. According to the D-dot principle, a D-dot voltage sensor with a new structure was designed based on the differential D-dot sensor with a symmetrical structure, called an asymmetric open D-dot voltage sensor. It is easier to install. The electric field distribution of the sensor was analyzed through Ansoft Maxwell and an open D-dot voltage sensor was designed. This open D-voltage sensor is characteristic of accessible insulatin… Show more

“…Al-Alaoui integrated the trapezoidal and rectangular integral algorithms according to the ratio of 1:3 to obtain the Al-Alaoui integral algorithm. The transfer function is Equation (4), and T is the sampling interval [ 9 , 17 ]. The frequency characteristic curve of the Al-Alaoui algorithm is close to the ideal integral curve, but the error increases as the frequency increases, as shown in Figure 7 .…”

“…In order to improve the sensor's ability to capture the surrounding electric field and avoid the interference caused by the introduction of grounding resistance [22,23,24,25,26], a Dual-Differential D-dot overvoltage sensor is designed. Figure 2 is the parameter and measurement principle of the Dual-Differential D-dot overvoltage sensor.…”

“…These methods have gradually become unsatisfactory for the requirements of an extensive network in a transmission and distribution system. On the other hand, non-contact methods for voltage measurement have become a popular research direction because of their advantages of convenient operation and high safety [ 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 ]. Moreover, they allow accurate measurement of voltage for the transmission lines.…”
