The study explores the construction of China's image in the context of a major public health event such as the Newcastle pneumonia epidemic by crawling social media data in China during the epidemic prevention and control period. The study argues that, in the era of new media, especially self-media, the image of China in Chinese social media during the prevention and control of the Newcastle pneumonia epidemic presents multiple types of images, ranging from a “dual” image of those fighting and preventing the epidemic in their home country and their country of residence to a “dual” image of those being questioned and even those being “questioned” in their home country and their country of residence. “It is worth noting that in March 2020, the number of people who have been affected by the epidemic in their home countries will be increased to 3,000. It is worth mentioning that in mid to late March 2020, Chinese people in China had a serious negative image crisis, but it was quickly repaired through mechanisms such as government “stabilisers,” mainstream media “gatekeepers,” and audience “self-purification.” One of the lessons is that image repair relies on the “stabiliser,” the “gatekeeper” of mainstream media, and the “self-purification” of the audience. One of the lessons is that image repair relies on the triple factor of “real society—audience” working together. The second lesson is that while the open Internet environment can generate a lot of exaggerated and false information; at the same time, audiences, including Chinese people, can remove misunderstandings and bridge differences through active voices and debates and activate rational and healthy positive energy. The epidemic is a “danger” and an “opportunity” for China’s image.

In the harvest of lodged corn in hilly areas, the low position of corn ears and the large slope of the land caused severe losses. The comprehensive performance of loss reduction and terrain adaptability was studied on three small corn harvesters. The tested harvesters were 4-row 4YZP-4Y wheeled harvester, 2-row 4YZLP-2C crawler harvester and 2-row 4YZLP-2C-AF crawler harvester equipped with spiral lifers. The results showed that the all-speed corn ear loss and grain loss of the 4YZP-4Y harvester were 55.6% and 57.6% lower than those of the 4YZLP-2C harvester, while those of the 4YZLP-2C-AF harvester was 23.2% and 17.3%, lower than in the case of the 4YZLP-2C harvester. The all-height corn ear loss and grain loss of the 4YZP-4Y harvester were 35.2% and 56.6% lower than those of the 4YZLP-2C harvester, those of the 4YZLP-2C-AF harvester were 19.9% and 24.9% lower than in the case of the 4YZLP-2C harvester. The smaller header width and larger roller compacted area of the 4YZLP-2C harvester were the main factors that caused harvest loss. Wider harvester header, auxiliary feeding devices and smaller roller compacted area were key methods to reduce the harvest loss of lodged corn in hilly areas. This study provides technical scheme and design references for harvesters on lodged corn in hilly areas.

To solve the problem of small planting plots and large sloping land for mechanized maize harvesting in China hilly and mountainous areas, a small maize harvester with attitude adjustment was designed to realize maize snapping, peeling, straw crushing and attitude adjusting at on time in this study. The basic structure and working principle of the small maize harvester were described, and the key components were designed as follows. The maize snapping device adopted the combination form of maize snapping plates and straw pulling rollers, and the gap of the straw pulling rollers can be adjusted to adapt to different maize varieties. Two pairs of peeling rollers formed a groove arrangement to improve peeling rate and reduced ear grain loss. The pressure feeding device mainly comprised drive chain and three grade pressure feeding rollers to increase the friction between ears and the peeling rollers, and help ears slide. The attitude adjustment advice was designed according to the high point stationary pursuit leveling method. When the attitude angle of the rack approached 0, the small maize harvester reached the level state. The actual range of attitude adjustment was obtained and the accuracy of static attitude adjustment was verified through attitude adjustment test. The influencing factors of ear loss rate and bract peeling rate were determined by orthogonal test, including the rotational speed of straw pulling rollers, peeling rollers and pressure feeding rollers. The mathematical regression model between the experimental factors and indicators was established by using Design Expert, and through the analysis variance to verify the significance of the evaluation indicators, the best combination of operation parameters was determined that the rotational speed of straw pulling rollers, peeling rollers and pressure feeding rollers were 1440 r/min, 1535 r/min and 406 r/min. Under the optimal combination of the operation parameters, the ear loss rate and bract peeling rate were 1.33% and 93.98%. The design indicators of the small maize harvester can meet the relevant national standards, and can satisfy the need of maize mechanized harvesting in China hilly and mountainous areas.
