“…This confirms the enhanced interaction by raising the concentration of the dye. Similar results were previously obtained for polymer composite films for PVOH/Carmine dye [34], PVOH/CR [54], PVOH/MB-6B [55], PVOH/Rose Bengal [56] and PVOH/TY dye films [38]. Table 3 summarizes the influence of various types of Table 3.…”

“…The intensities of C=O and C=C peaks indicate that (PVOH-PEG) has a resonating structure (alkene ↔ alkane) due to hydrogen bonds formation with hydroxyl groups [45]. The disappear of the absorption band at 877 cm −1 owing to the C-H vibration bending and stretching with the NGB addition is attributed to the high miscibility of NGB dye to the (PVOH-PEG) blend [34,43]. When dye molecules are incorporated into the polymer matrix, the hydroxyl band locations (stretching and bending mode vibrations) of the polymer composite films are shifted to the lower wavenumber.…”

“…XRD spectra of the synthesized TiO 2 NPs and the PVC/PMMA polymeric blend filled with varying amounts of TiO 2 NPs can be seen in Figure 1. The pure PVC/PMMA blend displays small broad peaks at 2θ = 17.13 and 24.31, indicating that the blend is amorphous 23 . The XRD study of the pure TiO 2 nanoparticles identified distinct peaks at 25, 36, 37, 38, 48, 54, 55, 62, 69, 70, and 75, representing (101), (103), (004), (112), (200), (105), (211), (213), (116), (220), and (215) planes, respectively.…”

“…In previous works, different kinds of materials as fillers in polymers have been explored for such applications [13][14][15][16]. These fillers involve organic dyes as erythrosine B and carmine [17,18]. While the majority of the explored ones focused on inorganic materials whether they are metals or semiconductors.…”
