Design of a Single-Phase Inverter for Solar Energy Conversion System

Abstract: Since the calculation of the active and reactive power is considered an essential topic nowadays, the novel method is focused on these calculations with omitting the PLL that will decrease the complexity of the control process. To get the maximum photovoltaic (PV) output, the maximum power point tracker (MPPT) algorithm has been integrated with the proposed method. MATLAB/SIMULINK has been used to show the performance of the proposed method. The simulation outcomes verify the advantage of the novel method by i… Show more

“…From Table III, the inverter is 91.8% while from Table II of the inverter data sheet, the is 97% and is 96.4%. An inverter that is 1% less efficient is deduced to be 10% cheaper than other inverters [19][20][21][22][23][24].…”

“…It is possible to increase the energy intensity and, as a consequence, the temperature of the source of the heat by focusing sunbeams [4][5][6].Because this is a technology that can be used for both electrical and thermal conversions, and because it employs a completely clean and infinite source of energy, it is obvious that this is a solution that can assist to reduce the amount of fossil fuel that is utilized [5][6][7][8]. A mirror arrangement is used in all methods of concentrating solar power (CSP) to focus sunlight onto a single target and convert it to heat [9].…”
