“…The smallest resin contact angle for CF-hybrid30 implies that the epoxy resin is more apt to spread on CF-hybrid30 spontaneously during composite fabrication, thereby promoting the following multi-interactions: (1) −NH 2 moieties involved in the curing of epoxy resin; (2) hydrogen bonding arising from the mutual attractions of the −OH and −NH units generated from PDA and the products of epoxide ring opening; (3) π–π stacking between GO, the aromatic skeleton of PDA, and epoxy; and (4) mechanical biting of PDA nanoprotrusions with resin and molecular entanglement between PEA-PDA and epoxy. In addition to the multiple interactions, the closely stacked GO PDA NPs layers act like a “barrier wall”, which could resist the crack propagation and consume energy. ,, In terms of CF-hybrid50, agglomeration of GO PDA NPs sheets is apt to cause stress concentration, leading to the reduced IFSS.…”

The above-mentioned IFSS results were further verified by SEM images of the debonded fiber surface (Figure 11).…”

“…Carbon fiber (CF) reinforced polymer matrix composites have been extensively employed in aerospace, automobile industry, and sports equipment owing to various advantages such as lighter weight, higher intensity, heat-resistant, and corrosion resistance. [1][2][3][4][5] Among them, CF composite plates have become the most commonly used secondary structural material in aerospace applications, which can significantly alleviate the weightiness of components to reduce fuel-burn cost and improve flying speed. [6][7][8] At present, the CF composite plates used lack reinforcement in the interlayer direction, which may lead to the phenomenon of interlayer delamination in the early stage of load loading and affect their structural performance.…”

“…Carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites (CFRPs) were excellent structural materials used in the aerospace and automotive industries. In general, the overall properties of CFRPs were determined by the interfacial structure 1–3 . However, a weak interface with unmatched modulus would generate between the inert surface of CFs and matrix 4,5 .…”
