The important functions of Radio Frequency Iden tification (RFID) technology are radiation and detection. So efficient antenna desi g n and fabrication is the unique solution which perform a very crucial role for many applications. The reader and ta g intense are component of the RFID system. In this paper desi g ned has done on RFID antenna for ta g and reader application, which also includes the different types of antenna (UHF application, wideband, multiband antenna) and the g eneral consideration for desi g n, them which are currently used for ta g and reader application. In this paper we proposed a rectan g ular patch antenna and then designed a metamaterial structure on the patch to improve the antenna performance.

A compact ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID tag with meander feed line and double T-match structure is proposed. The tag is composed of a copper layer at the upper and bottom side of a Rogers 5880 substrate, with the relative permittivity of 2.2 and a UCODE G2XM/G2XL chip from NXP Semiconductor. The tag with the overall dimension of 58 x 34 x 0.85 mm 3 is not sensitive to the objects it is attached to including metallic object since the performance of the tag in free air and on metal objects remains almost the same. The double T-matching technique is implemented in the antenna design to easily match the antenna and the chip impedance. The antenna is designed to operate in Malaysia frequency range (919 -923 MHZ). The performance of the tag is evaluated through simulation in terms of impedance matching, reflection coefficient and reading range.

Özetçe-Bu çalışmada RFID Düzlemsel antenler anlatılmıştır. Çalışmanın doğruluğunu ispatlamak ve geometrik parametrelere karar vermek için H şekilli bir antenin benzetim çalışması yapılmıştır. Bu antenin tasarlanma sebebi pekçok RFID antene kıyasla daha küçük boyutlarda olmasıdır. Kanat kısımlarının dikdörtgen olması antenin düzlenmesinikolaylaştırmaktadır. Benzetim Çalışması sonucu olarak 3.84 GHz'de S11 -28.09 dB, kazanç ise 4.41 dB olarak elde edilmiştir.Abstract-In this study, RFID planar antennas are explained. We simulated an H-Shaped Antenna to validate our structure and to develop an analythic method to determine the geometry parameters. This antenna is designed becauseit's dimensions are smaller than other RFID antennas found in the literature. Stubs are rectangular shape so that it's easy to modify. The input match, S11, is -28.09 dB and, electric field theta polarized gain is 4.41 dB at 3.84 GHz.
