A new optical wireless full-duplex communication system was proposed and demonstrated. DSB modulation was used in this system and then the lower side band was reflected as the uplink optical carrier, achieving the wavelength reuse by the FBG. At the same time, a SSB modulated downlink data was got to reduce the impact of fiber dispersion. Pilot tone injection was also used in base station to generate a new local oscillator (LO), for the uplink signal down conversion, so that the base stations did not need to configure additional LO, simplifying the complexity and cost of base station. The uplink and downlink eye diagram show that the system had well performance against the dispersion and can support long-distance transmission.
