Design of deadbeat control system using multirate controller and its application to speed control of induction motor

Abstract: This paper proposes a design method of an optimal deadbeat control system that takes into account the response between the sampling instant. The sequence of the deadbeat control signal that minimizes the quadratic performance index for the manipulated variable and deviation can be obtained easily from the matrix computation using the step response of the system.
