Design of Decentralized Fuzzy Logic Load Frequency Controller

Abstract: Abstract-This paper presents a novel approach for designing a decentralized controller for load frequency control of interconnected power areas. The proposed fuzzy logic load frequency controller (FLFC) has been designed to improve the dynamic performance of the frequency and tie line power under a sudden load change in the power areas. The effect of generation rate constraint (GRC) for both areas has been considered in the controller design. The proposed FLFC consists of two internal fuzzy logic controllers n… Show more

“…Paper proves that even with NMP plants like hydro it is possible to control frequency in an effective manner. Publication [16] shows how to design a fuzzy logic controller consisting of two parts: PI -like and PD -like for two area system. PI part is liable to cancel frequency deviation and tie line deviation in finite time while PD part is obligated to improve transient states in the system.…”

“…In recent years, fuzzy system applications have received increasing attention in power system operation and control. Fuzzy logic based controllers have been suggested as an appropriate choice to control non-linear system and are being investigated as an alternative to conventional control [3]. Furthermore, the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is a sophisticated technique that is easy to design and implement [4].…”

“…Here in right part a value '1' is mean an operable state of a triad of accelerometers or gyroscopes, a value '0' -a his failure, 0 g  -a border value of function   For that 18 unknown parameters should be found from equations (7) and (8). These 18 parameters are distorted of the inertial instrument cluster output signals.…”
